Copeland, Royal Samuel b. November 7, 1868 d. June 17, 1938 US Senator. After serving as Mayor of Ann Arbor, Michigan from 1901 to 1903, he was elected as a Senator from New York to the United States Senate, serving from 1923 until his death in office in 1938.
