Sarton, May b. May 3, 1912 d. July 16, 1995 Poet, Novelist, Essayist, Journalist. Born in Wondelgem, Belgium to George Sarton, historian of science and Mabel Sarton, designer and an artist. The family moved to America when Sarton was four years old. Sarton first published poetry when she was still a teenager.
