Gordon, William b. April 12, 1763 d. May 8, 1802 US Congressman. Elected as a Federalist to represent New Hampshire at-large in the Fifth and Sixth Congresses, he served from 1797 to 1800. Gordon was born near Boston, Massachusetts, and graduated from Harvard College in 1779. After private law study he was admitted to the bar in 1787 and settled as an attorney in Amherst, New Hampshire.
