Johnson, Martin Nelson b. March 3, 1850 d. October 21, 1909 US Congressman, US Senator. Elected to represent North Dakota as an At-Large Deelegate in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1891 to 1899. Elected as a Senator from North Dakota to the United States Senate, serving from March 1909 until his death in October 1909. He also served as a member of the Iowa State House of Representatives in 1877, as a member of the Iowa State Senate in 1878, and as a Delegate to North Dakota State Constitutional Convention in 1889.
