Haughey, Thomas b. 1826 d. August 5, 1869 US Representative. During the Civil War, Haughey served as a surgeon in the Union Army (1862-1865). He was elected as a US Representative from Alabama in 1868. While giving a speech in Courtland, Alabama during the summer of 1869, he was assassinated.
