Auge Jr., Lester A. 'Les' b. May 16, 1953 d. September 13, 2002 Professional Hockey Player. A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Auge played the position of Defense for teams in the WCHA, AHL, IHL, NHL, Nat-Tm, and the WEC-A hockey leagues. At 6'00, and 190lbs, he played the Colorado Rockies from 1980 to 1981. He was also a member of the NCAA Championship All-Tornament Team in 1974, WCHA Second All-Star Team in 1975, and the NCAA West First All-American Team in 1975. Sloat, Dwain b. December 1, 1918 d. April 18, 2003 Major League Baseball Player. Born in Nokomis, Illinois, he was a right handed pitcher making his debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 24, 1948. For two seasons, he played mainly as a relief pitcher with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1948 and Chicago Cubs in 1949. He died in Siant Paul, Minnesota, at the age of 84. Taught in Minneapolis Public Schools. Elected to Minnesota House in 1970. Elected to U. S. Congress in 1976 where he served until his death.
