Johnson, William Cost b. January 14, 1806 d. April 13, 1860 US Congressman. He was a lawyer in practice when appointed a member of the Maryland State House of Representatives in 1831 and 1832. In 1833, he was elected as an Anti-Jacksonian to the Twenty-third Congress, serving until 1835. He was a delegate to the State Constitutional Convention in 1836 and in 1837, elected as a Whig to the Twenty-fifth, Twenty-sixth, and Twenty-seventh Congresses, serving until 1843.
