Brown, Elias b. May 9, 1793 d. July 3, 1857 US Congressman. He was the presidential elector on the tickets of Monroe and Tompkins in 1820 and Adams and Rush in 1828. In 1829, he was elected as a Jacksonian to the Twenty-first Congress, serving until 1831. He served as a member of the Maryland State House of Representatives, 1834 to 1835 and as a member of the State Senate, 1836 to 1838.
