Anderson, Simeon H. b. March 2, 1802 d. August 11, 1840 US Congressman. Born near Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky, he studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1823. He quickly became a rising star in state politics, especially after marrying the daughter of future Kentucky Governor William Owsley. Landram, William Jennings b. February 11, 1828 d. October 11, 1895 Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General. Served in the Civil War as Colonel and commander of the 19th Kentucky (Union) Volunteer Infantry. Scott, George D. [cenotaph] Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Private in Company D, 7th United States Calvary. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions on June 25-26, 1876 at the Little Big Horn River in Montana. His citation reads "Voluntarily brought water to the wounded under fire of the enemy".
