Casey, Zadok b. March 7, 1796 d. September 4, 1862 US Congressman. He moved to Illinois in 1819 and was a farmer when he began his political career, serving in the Illinois State House of Representatives (1822 to 1826), the State Senate (1826 to 1830), and as Lieutenant Governor of Illinois (1830 to 1833). During the Black Hawk War of 1832, he served as a volunteer in the state milita.
