He was influential to such artists as reggae singing legend Bob Marley, and was the first Jamaican artist to have a song chart in the United States with the hit, "Israelites" in 1969. Kunz, Charlie b. August 18, 1896 d. March 16, 1958 Musician. Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, he was a popular pianist known as "The Medley King". In 1922, he went to England with a small dance band and took up residency performing at the London Trocadero.
