Ward, Sir. Deighton Harcourt Lisle b. 1909 d. January 9, 1984 Governor-General of Barbados. Deighton Ward graduated from Harrison College in Bridgetown. In 1958, he was one of the candidates of the Barbados Labour Party when they won four of the five seats in the House of Representatives in the Federal Parliament (of Barbados).
