Delanoë, Pierre b. December 16, 1918 d. December 27, 2006 Songwriter. Born Pierre Leroyer in Paris, he was nicknamed "the Pope of French song." A soprano called "The Bardot of the Opera", she shall be remembered for her interpretation of the title 'cigarette girl' in Georges Bizet's "Carmen".
