Belzec Holocaust Memorial [memorial] b. March 17, 1942 d. June 30, 1943 Holocaust Memorial. Belzec was a Nazi death camp during World War II. It was the first of three killing centers (the others were Sobibor and Treblinka) built in 1942 as part of the "Operation Reinhard" program, Adolf Hitler's plan to eliminate the Jews of Europe.
