Lillo, Baldomero b. January 6, 1867 d. September 10, 1923 Writer. He was born and died in Lota (Concepción region, Chile). His first book was published in 1904, Sub Terra. He reflected the poor conditions of the miners in his country. In 1907, he was shocked by the massacre against workers in the Escuela de Santa María. He began a work about this matter that left unfinished, entitled La Huelga. He also wrote Sub Sole, Páginas de Salitre, Relatos Populares, Pesquisa Trágica and El Hallazgo y Otros Cuentos.
