Beauchamp-Proctor, Andrew Frederick Weatherby b. September 4, 1894 d. June 21, 1921 World War I Victoria Cross Recipient, He was the first South African aviator to be awarded the VC. He was initially interred at Upavon Cemetery but in August 1921 his body was repatriated to South Africa, where he was accorded a State Funeral. Mafeking Cemetery, Mafeking, North-West, South Africa
