Brown, Donald Forester b. February 23, 1890 d. October 1, 1916 World War I Victoria Cross Recipient. Born in Dunedin, New Zealand, he served as Sergeant in the 2nd Battalion, New Zealand Otago Infantry Regiment, British Army. In actions near Eaucourt L'Abbaye, France, on October 1, 1916, Sergeant Brown with a comrade, succeeded in reaching a point within thirty yards of the enemy guns.
