Amin, Idi b. January 1, 1925 d. August 16, 2003 Ugandan Dictator and Military Leader. Idi Amin was born in either 1924 or 1925, but his exact birthdate is not known. He helped to overthrow President Milton Obote, and was officially made leader on January 25, 1971, taking office, one week later.
