Channer, George Nicholas b. January 7, 1843 d. December 13, 1905 British Victoria Cross War Medal Recipient. Channer served as a General in The Bengal Staff Corps, and 1st Gurkha Rifles, Indian Army. Graham, Sir Gerald b. June 27, 1831 d. December 17, 1899 Crimea War British Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as a Lieutenant in the Corps of Royal Engineers. On June 18, 1855, his contruction team came under a heavy Russian assault in the Redan at Sebastopol, Crimea. During the attack, he went in the trenches under heavy fire on numerous occasions to bring in wounded officers and men. For determined gallantry, he was awarded the Victoria Cross Medal in February 1857.
