Dunn, Alexander Roberts b. September 15, 1833 d. January 25, 1868 Crimea War Victoria Cross Recipient. Born York, Upper Canada, he served as a Lieutenant in the 11th Hussars, British Army. During the Charge of the Light Brigade at the Battle of Balaclava, Russia, on October 25, 1854, Lieutenant Dunn was in command of troop of Light Dragoons horseman. Ram, Richpal b. August 20, 1899 d. February 12, 1941 World War II Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as a Subadar (Captain) in the 6th Rajputana Rifles, Indian Army. On February 7, 1941, Subadar led an attack on the enemy at Keren, Eritrea and subsequently repelled six counter-attacks. After the conflict without a shot left, he brought the few survivors of his company back.
