Anderson, Pink b. February 12, 1900 d. October 12, 1974 Blues Musician. Born Pinkney Anderson in rural South Carolina, he became one of the greatest performers of the blues style known as the "Piedmont Blues." He spent the majority of his life touring the south with a traveling minstrel show. He made some recordings for the Columbia Record label in 1928, and later made recordings for the Riverside Record label in the late 1940's and the Bluesville Label in the late 1960s.
