Jung, Carl b. July 26, 1875 d. June 6, 1961 Carl Gustav Jung was the son of a philologist and pastor. He received an M.D. in 1902 from the University of Zurich. He began work as an Assistant Staff Physician at the Burgholzli Mental Clinic in Zurich in 1902. He served as a Lecturer in Psychiatry at the University of Zurich and worked closely with Sigmund Freud until their break in 1913.
