Hoover, Lou Henry b. March 29, 1874 d. January 7, 1944 Presidential First Lady. She was born Louise Henry in Waterloo, Iowa the daughter of a banker. The family relocated to California when she was ten. Her father combined outdoor camping with education introducing her to the study of rocks, minerals and mining.
