Bronson, Isaac Hopkins b. October 16, 1802 d. August 13, 1855 US Congressman, Jurist. Elected as a Democrat representing New York in the Twenty-fifth Congress, he served from 1837 to 1839. Details of Bronson's early life are sketchy. He was born either in Waterbury, Connecticut or Rutland, New York, and from 1822 to 1837 he practiced law in Watertown. For seven seasons (1988 to 1994), he played at the free-safety and strong-safety positions in the National Football League with the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants.
