MacLellan, Gene P. b. 1938 d. 1995 Canadian Songwriter and Musician. MacLellan is best remembered for his hits such as, "Put Your Hand In The Hand" and "Snowbird." In 1970 his song,"Snowbird" was recorded by Anne Murray and by 1971, it was a big hit, as well as song of the year. His songs were also recorded by the likes of Elvis Presley, Chet Atkins, Rance Allen Group, Lynn Anderson, Joan Baez, Perry Como, Ray Conniff, Shirley Caesar, and Donny Hathaway, and many others.
