Merrithew, Gerald Stairs b. September 23, 1931 d. September 5, 2004 Canadian Politician. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Merrithew was an educator and statesman. A graduate of the New Brunswick Teachers College, he later obtained his B.A. and B. Ed degrees from the University of New Brunswick.
