Strachan, Harcus b. November 7, 1884 d. May 1, 1982 World War I Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as Lieutenant in the Fort Garry Horse, Canadian Expeditionary Force. At the Battle of Cambrai, France, on November 20, 1917, when his squadron leader was killed he took command of a mounted cavalryman.
