Short, Chris b. September 19, 1937 d. August 1, 1991 Major League Baseball Player. A lefthanded pitcher, he played in fifteen seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers. He was a member of the 1964 and 1967 National League All Star Teams, and won 17+ games four times in a five year span. When won 20 games in 1966, he was the first Phillies lefthander to win that many since Hall of Famer Eppa Rixey achieved it in 1916.
