Ruetz, Dr. Philip P. b. May 18, 1926 d. July 4, 2003 Physician and researcher. Known as the "Grandfather of Nuclear Medicine." He devoted his entire life to helping his patients. In 1958, he joined the staff in internal medicine at what is now Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He became a hematologist and began the study of nuclear medicine.
