Bushnell, Allen Ralph b. July 18, 1833 d. March 29, 1909 US Congressman. He was admitted to the bar in 1857 and commenced the practice of law in Platteville, Wisconsin. He was elected district attorney of Grant County in 1860 and served as Captain of Company C, 7th Regiment, Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. Dewey, Nelson b. December 9, 1813 d. July 21, 1889 Wisconsin's first governor. Moore, Jonathan Baker b. March 16, 1825 d. February 8, 1889 Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General. A businessman and bridge builder before the Civil War, Moore was appointed colonel of the 33rd Wisconsin infantry upon its formation in August of 1862.
