Hill, James Madison b. April 25, 1845 d. September 17, 1919 Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Entered the service at Cincinnati, Ohio and served as a First Sergeant in Company A, 5th U.S. Cavalry. At Turret Mountain, Arizona on March 25 1873 he showed gallantry in action against hostile Indians. His citation was issued on August 12, 1875. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 1854 to 1855 as a representative from the Washington Territory. McCammon, William W. b. May 28, 1838 d. March 27, 1903 Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor recipient. Served as a First Lieutenant, Company E, 24th Missouri Infantry, in action at Corinth, Mississippi on October 3, 1862. Citation: While on duty as provost marshal, voluntarily assumed command of his company, then under fire, and so continued in command until the repulse and retreat of the enemy on the following day, the loss to this company during the battle being very great. Pfisterer, Herman b. April 1, 1866 d. August 6, 1905 Spanish-American War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served in United States Army during the War with Spain as a Musician in Company H, 21st United States Infantry. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery at Santiago, Cuba, on July 1, 1898. His citation reads "Gallantly assisted in the rescue of the wounded from in front of the lines and under heavy fire from the enemy". His Medal was awarded to him on June 22, 1899.
