Keeton, Cheryl b. October 27, 1949 d. September 21, 1986 Lawyer, murder victim. She attempted to stop her abusive husband Brad Cunningham from running away with her children. On September 21, 1986, Cheryl's body was found in her Toyota van on a freeway in Portland. Brad Cunningham was convicted and sentenced to life for her murder. In 1994, author Ann Rule wrote her New York Times bestseller about the case. In 1995, a TV movie called "Dead By Sunset" was produced based on the story.
