Michael, Edward Stanley b. May 2, 1918 d. May 10, 1994 World War II Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Air Corps/U.S. Airforce. He was awarded the Medal of Honor as a First Lieutenant, Pilot of a B-17, 8th Air Force for action on April 11, 1944 over Stettin, Germany. His citation in part reads "First Lt. Michael flew the plane until he became exhaused from loss of blood, which had formed on the floor in pools, and he lost consciousness.
