Earle, John Baylis b. October 23, 1766 d. February 3, 1836 US Congressman. He was raised in South Carolina and served in the Revolutionary War as a drummer boy and soldier, afterwards becoming owner of a plantation called "Silver Glade." In 1802 he was elected to the US House of Representatives as a Democratic-Republican and served one term, 1803 to 1805. he did not run for reelection in 1804 and returned to operating Silver Glade. And in television "Kojack", "The Defenders" "NYPD" and "The Nurses". His most noted acting role was in Irving Berlin's "This Is The Army". Orr, James Lawrence b. May 12, 1822 d. May 5, 1873 Democrat Representative from South Carolina. He served in the US Senate from 1849-1859 and as Speaker of the House from 1857-1858. In 1861 he served in the Confederate Senate from South Carolina and served as Governor in 1866. In 1872, he was appointed as Minister to Russia by President Ulysses Grant where he served until his death in 1873 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
