September 11, 2001 A 60-year old ironworker from West New York, New Jersey, Mr. Cashman also taught welding at the Metal Lathers Local 46 night school to help young apprentices. In the early 1960's he was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division's Screaming Eagles.
