Miller, Harry "Moose" b. July 28, 1923 d. April 18, 2007 Professional Basketball Player. He had only one season in the Pros but was a part of Basketball history. On November 1, 1946, he played for the Toronto Huskies in the first ever National Basketball Association (NBA) game, at Maple Leaf Gardens against the New York Knicks. Wimmer, Boniface b. January 14, 1809 d. December 8, 1887 Religious Figure. He arrived in America in 1846, and introduced the Benedictine Order into the United States. He is honored as the first Benedictine abbot in this country.
