Anderson, George Jendrus 'Andy' b. September 26, 1889 d. May 28, 1962 Major League Baseball Player. Left handed hitting outfielder and leadoff hitter for Brooklyn in the Federal League in 1914 and 1915. He also played for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1918. His best season was 1914 when he hit .316 with 3 homeruns, 24 RBI's and 16 stolen bases. He had a .287 lifetime batting average with 5 homeruns and 69 RBI's. Boiardi, Hector b. October 22, 1897 d. June 21, 1985 Businessman/Entrepreneur. A native of Piacenza, Italy, he was a world renowned chef known for his many Italian dishes. Known affectionately as 'Chef Boyardee' he founded his food franchise of products with his wife Helen. He became a food prodigy by age 11, in his native Italy, but later emigrated to New York City in 1915, where his brother got him a job working as a waiter and then chef in the Plaza Hotel's kitchen. Milnar, Albert Joseph b. December 26, 1913 d. June 30, 2005 Major League Baseball Player. Nicknamed "Happy" Milnar, he played with the Cleveland Indians from rom 1939 to 1941. During those years he was was Cleveland's number-two pitcher behind Hall of Famer Bob Feller. He compiled a career record of 57-58 with an ERA of 4.22 with his finest year being 1940. Pitching along side Cleveland legend Feller and Mel Harder, he compiled a fine record of 18-10. Milner also played with the St Louis Browns and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Smetona, Antanas b. August 10, 1874 d. January 9, 1944 Twice President of Lithuania 1919-20, and 1926-40. A writer and journalist by profession, Smetona was active in the Lithuanian National Movement. He was a member of the Lithuanian National Council and one of the signers of the Lithuanian Declaration of Independence in 1918. He was a member of the Nationalist Party and his authoratitive regime was in power until the 1940 Soviet invasion.
