Winslow, Field Howard b. June 10, 1916 d. December 16, 2009 Inventor. He graduated from Middlebury College, received a master's degree from Rhode Island State College and in 1943 received a Ph.D. from Cornell University. During World War II Winslow worked on the Manhattan Project and was one of the developers of fluoropolymers, which led to the creation of Teflon.
