Larrabee, William b. January 20, 1832 d. November 16, 1912 Iowa Governor. Served in the Iowa State Senate from 1868 to 1885 and Governor of the state from 1886 to 1890. He was the first governor to serve a full term in the new Capital building in Des Moines. Between 1872 and 1885, he had financial interest with more than a dozen different banks in Iowa, Minnesota and North Dakota. After his second term as Governor, he retired to Clermont, Iowa.
