Bangs, Isaac Sparrow b. March 17, 1831 d. May 30, 1903 Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General. He served in the Union Army first as Captain of Company A, 20th Maine Volunteer Infantry, then as Lieutenant Colonel of the 81st United States Colored Troops. He was brevetted Brigadier General, US Volunteers on Marcg 13, 1865 for "gallant and meritorious services at the siege of Port Hudson, La." After the war he served as the Junior Vice Commander-in-Chief of the Grand Army of the Republic in 1882. Haskell, Frank W. b. 1843 d. October 9, 1903 Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Sergeant Major in the Union Army in the 3d Maine Infantry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on June 1, 1862 at Fair Oaks, Virginia. His citation reads "Assumed command of a portion of the left wing of his regiment, all the company officers present having been killed or disabled, led it gallantly across a stream and contributed most effectively to the success of the action." Heath, Francis Edward b. February 28, 1838 d. December 20, 1897 Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General. He began his service in the Union Army on June 4, 1861 when he was commissioned as a 1st Lieutenant in Company H, 3rd Maine Volunteer Infantry. Promoted to Captain and commander of the company on September 12, 1861, he led his men through the Spring 1862 Peninsular Campaign in Virginia. Moor, Wyman Bradbury Seavy b. November 11, 1811 d. March 10, 1869 US Senator. A lawyer, he was serving as Attorney General for the state of Maine when he was appointed as a Democratic Senator to the United States Senate to fill the vacancy caused by the death of John Fairfield.
