Cameron, James b. February 23, 1914 d. June 11, 2006 Social Reformer. He founded America's Black Holocaust Museum. Born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, he moved with his family to Marion, Indiana, where, at age 16, he was wrongly convicted as an accessory in the 1930 murder of a white man. He narrowly escaped a mob lynching which claimed the lives of the two accused who were his high school friends. He was paroled in 1935. Elected to represent Wisconsin's 4th District in the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1933 to 1939, but was defeated in 1938, and 1944. MacDonald, John Dann b. July 24, 1916 d. December 28, 1986 Famous fiction mystery and science fiction writer. MacDonald was famous for writing the Travis McGee Mystery series.
