Dunn, George Grundy b. December 20, 1812 d. September 4, 1857 US Congressman. Elected to two non-consecutive terms in the US House of Representatives, representing Indiana's 3rd and 6th Districts, he served from 1847 to 1849 and from 1855 to 1857. Dunn was born in Washington County, Kentucky, and moved with his parents to Indiana in 1823. Pope, Harley Halbert b. May 26, 1879 d. January 7, 1919 Military aviator. Officially established by the War Department in 1919, Pope AFB ranks as one of the oldest installations in the Air Force. It is named after First Lieutenant Harley Halbert Pope who was killed on January 7, 1919, when the JN-4 Jenny he was flying with Sergeant Walter W. Rariden, Bill (William Angel) b. February 4, 1888 d. August 28, 1942 Major League Baseball Player. Born in Bedford, Indiana, he was a catcher making his debut on August 12, 1909, with the Boston Rustlers. For twelve seasons, he with the Boston Rustlers (1909-10), Boston Braves (1911-13), Indianapolis Hoosiers in 1914, Newark Pepper in 1915, New York Giants (1916-18) and Cincinnati Reds (1919-20).
