Norell, Norman b. April 20, 1900 d. October 25, 1972 American Fashion Designer. Best known for his widely copied dramatic and spectacular clothes for women. He created more than twenty distinctive styles, some of which influenced Partisian couture and became classics. He began his fashion career in 1922 at the Astoria Studio at Paramount Pictures.
