Bloemker, Albert W. b. 1906 d. November 22, 1996 Journalist. Popular sportswriter for the "Indianapolis Star" who subsequently served the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from 1945 to 1987. At the height of his career, he served as the Speedway's Director of Publicity. His premier works include "500 Miles to Go," a history of the Indianapolis 500-mile classic. The Albert W.
