For six seasons (1948 to 1953), he was a left-handed pitcher with the Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals. Hochstrasser, Gilbert 'Gib' b. April 10, 1927 d. November 2, 1999 "Gib" Hochstrasser formed the Northwest's premier big dance band, "Kings of Swing" in 1974. They played in Las Vegas, Seattle, Portland, and most major locations in Idaho.
