Anderson Jr., Charles W. b. May 26, 1907 d. June 14, 1960 Kentucky State Congressman. When he was elected in 1936 to serve Kentucky in the State House of Representatives, he became the first African-American to be elected to a Southern State Legislature in the 20th century.
