  Professional Football Player/Coach. After graduating from South Philadelphia High School he went to Villanova where he became an All-American. He was taken by the Cleveland Browns in the 2nd round of the 1950 NFL draft in a choice acquired from Detroit for the rights to halfback Doak Walker, who was drafted by the Browns in 1949. He played six seasons with the Browns as offensive and defensive tackle from 1950 through 1955.
