Latimer, Asbury Churchwell b. July 31, 1851 d. February 20, 1908 US Congressman, Senator. He was a successful farmer when elected as a Democrat to the Fifty-third and to the four succeeding Congresses, serving 1893 to 1903. In 1903, he was elected as a Democrat from South Carolina to the United States Senate and served until his death.
