Lear, Frederick Francis "King" b. April 7, 1894 d. October 13, 1955 Major League Baseball Player. He was a third baseman making his debut with the Philadelphia Athletics on June 7, 1915. For four seasons he was a utility player, pitch hitter with the Philadelphia Athletics (1915), Chicago Cubs (1918-919) and York Giants (1920). He finished his career with a record of 39 hits, 20 runs scored, 2 homers 18 runs batted in and a .235 batting average.
