Ingram, Osmond Kelly b. August 4, 1887 d. October 15, 1917 World War I Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Raised in Alabama, Osmond Ingram first joined the Navy in 1903 while still a teenager. He served until 1908 when he left and briefly obtained employment as a firefighter. In 1912, he rejoined the Navy. In 1917, while serving on the USS Cassin, he was killed when a torpedo struck the ship. Sundquist, Gustaf Adolf [cenotaph] b. June 4, 1879 d. August 25, 1918 Spanish-American War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served in the United States Navy during the War with Spain as an Ordinary Seaman on board the "USS Nashville". He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery during the operation of cutting the cable leading from Cienfuegos, Cuba, on May 11, 1898. His citation reads "Facing the heavy fire of the enemy, Sundquist displayed extraordinary bravery and coolness throughout this action". His Medal was awarded to him on November 1, 1899.
